If you're one who enjoys outdoor activities even when it's cold outdoors, you're sure to fall in love with the great options available from Seirus Innovation. Solarsphere™ Gloves
The Seirus team provided me with a few of their accessories to check out for myself, including a pair of their Solarsphere™ Brink™ gloves. These are terrific winter gloves that are perfect for a wide variety of outdoor activities. They are both waterproof and breathable, and so they do a great job keeping your hands dry without causing them to feel constricted.
These gloves are made with a combination of ripstop and leather and are very well-made. I particularly like the fact that the fingertips are leather. They have a Velcro closure at the wrist that helps hold in the warmth around your hands. They are available for women and men and come in a full range of sizes (small through extra-large), so you can get a perfect fit.
Heatwave Ember Beanie
I also had an opportunity to try out their Heatwave Ember Beanie. If you're looking for a knit cap that does a great job keeping in the heat, this one is a terrific choice. This hat uses what the company calls "Heatwave technology" to create this beautiful and practical beanie-style cap that helps reflect heat away from your head. It does a terrific job holding in the heat - I have worn it hiking when the temperatures were in the low 20s (Fahrenheit) and found that it really helped ward off the chill.
It is also a great-looking hat with a design that is versatile enough to be worn anytime the weather is cold - it looks just as great during your daily commute to work or while running errands as it does while you're on the trails or engaging in other outdoor activities in chilly temperatures.
Snowdana
Their Snowdana is also a terrific item for cold-weather activities. It is a fleece-lined bandana that is designed to help protect your face from cold, wind and snow. As I often ride as a passenger on my husband's motorcycle, I definitely understand the importance of having a warm face covering. I was a little skeptical about this design at first, but really liked it after checking it out.
This is much better than a traditional bandana for a variety of reasons, including the fact that it doesn't have to be tied in place. It is made of a stretchy fabric (polyester outside, fleece inside), so you just need to tug it over your head and it will stay snugly in place. It is warm, but is also designed to be breathable and is made from a moisture wicking fabric. Further, it has an ultraviolet protection factor (UPF) of 50 to provide great sun protection.
Seirus Innovation also carries balaclavas, which may be a better option for those who prefer full face protection.
